Fox Fur Prices 2026: How Much and What Drives the Price

"How much does fox fur cost?" has no single answer, because fox fur is sold in very different forms: stoles, gilets, coats with fox collars and full-pelt fox coats, and the prices can differ tenfold. This guide explains what drives fox fur prices and the current price bands in our collection, so you can choose the right piece for your budget.

What makes fox fur special?

With its long guard hair and dense underfur, fox is one of the most voluminous and warmest furs. Its natural colour range is wide: black, silver, red, white and golden tones are obtained without dyeing. This volume and colour richness make fox the most widely used fur both for full-pelt coats and for collars, hoods and hem trims. In our collection most fox fur appears as collar and hood trim on coats, jackets and puffers; full-pelt fox coats, stoles and gilets form a smaller but special group.

What determines the price of fox fur

• How the fur is used: This is the biggest difference. A coat with fox only on the collar or hood and a coat made entirely of fox pelts differ by several times.
• Amount of pelt and length: A stole uses a single pelt; a gilet needs a few; a long fox coat needs dozens.
• Hair quality: Long, dense, glossy hair defines the top grade; sparse or short-haired pelts cost less.
• Colour: Rare natural tones such as golden, silver and white cost more than black and red.
• Body material: On a fox-trimmed coat the body sets the price: a wool or alpaca body is more accessible, genuine leather or cashmere is higher, and a fur body sits in the top band.
• Workmanship: Pelt alignment, invisible seams and lining quality all show in the price.

Current price bands in our collection

As of September 2026 the fox fur pieces in our collection fall into four bands; current prices are listed on the product pages and on the fox fur page.

• Fox fur stoles and wraps: a single pelt, the most accessible entry; in black, white and midnight blue.
• Fox-trimmed coats, jackets and puffers: the largest group in the collection; a fox collar or hood on a wool, alpaca, leather or puffer body. Most models sit in the middle band.
• Fox fur gilets: a few pelts, a layering piece; the upper-middle band.
• Full-pelt fox coats: in natural black, white and golden tones; the top band of the collection.

As a rough scale: more than half of the fox pieces in the collection are between 10,000 and 20,000 Turkish lira (fox-trimmed coats and puffers), while full-pelt fox coats start from around 50,000 lira. These values change with the collection and the season; check the product page for the exact price.

How to spot cheap "fox" and why faux fox is different

Many synthetic products are sold under the name "fox fur". In real fox the hairs grow from a leather base, taper towards the tips and feel cool in the palm; in faux fur the hairs are stitched onto a fabric base, the tips are cut to an even length and the fur warms up instantly in your hand. Fox or mink?

With the same budget, the choice depends on how you will wear it. Fox is voluminous and warm; it makes a stronger impression on special occasions and in cold climates. Mink is light, flat and durable; for a coat you will wear every day it is the longer-lasting investment. The same budget buys a full-pelt fox coat or a short mink jacket. The material line on each product page states the body and the trim fur separately: "fox fur trimmed" means the fox is on the collar or hood, while "fox fur coat" means the body itself is fox.
